John Duffett is a Professional Close-Up Magician living and working in London. After receiving his first Magic Set at the age of 7, John has been obsessed with the art of conjuring ever since.

Following school, John graduated with a degree in Politics and Philosophy from Durham University, where he spent much of his free time in Magic and Theatre. Here he acted, produced, and directed shows, along with founding his own theatre company, which cemented his passion for Performance.

Since then Magic has taken John everywhere, from performing for Britain’s top sport stars at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe, teaching Magic courses in Switzerland, Magic consulting for a nationwide Shakespeare Tour and more!

John is a member of The Magic Circle, the oldest and most prestigious Magic society in the world. He holds the rank of Associate of the Inner Magic Circle, a title only a few hundred members hold worldwide. And has recently won the title of Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year 2023, one of the youngest people to have ever won the competition.

John primarily performs Close-Up Magic, entertaining people with impossible feats right before their eyes.
